Rooftops, car parks and containerized ESS are not lab benches. Connectors sit in direct sun, driving rain and high-current heat for decades. YXY designs around the four failure modes we see in returned field samples from other suppliers.
Micro-inverters and roadside EV piles have no enclosure around the connector. Threaded push-pull couplings with dual O-rings and interfacial seals hold IP68 (1 m / 24 h) and IP69K washdown without capillary wicking into the crimp barrel.
Rooftop UV and coastal salt air chalk and crack ordinary plastics within a few seasons. UV-stabilized PA66 (f1 rating) passes 1000 h xenon-arc and 96 h salt spray; the metal-shell YM20 adds 48 h salt-spray plating for roadside and ESS duty.
Desert noon to alpine dawn, every day for 25 years. CTE-matched PA66 and copper alloy keep contacts gas-tight; silicone seals stay elastic at -40 °C and the contact system stays below 30 K temperature rise at rated current.
A 30 A trunk line is only as good as its weakest crimp. 2.5 mm gold-plated turned pins on C5191 copper hold ≤ 3 mΩ initial resistance; every production lot sees a 30 A temperature-rise test, with curves supplied per cable cross-section.
From DC trunk power to logger Ethernet. All four are stocked as connector and pre-terminated harness; custom overmolds and tees are tooled in 5–7 days.

The client builds 800 W balcony micro-inverters with a 230 V AC trunk daisy-chain (16 A per branch) and an RS485/Wi-Fi data logger. Their previous supplier saw field leaks at the tee joint and cracked PA66 housings after a single summer — a 0.8% leak-return rate that was threatening the product's 25-year warranty story.
